I spent a few hours stolling down Royal Street in New Orleans back in August.  New Orleans is a photographer’s dream.  Color, texture, design, line….all the things that add up to a great photo.  This is one of my favorites from that morning.

When I have things I need to do but don’t want to do them…..I paint!   Paint in Photoshop that is.  This image is from the New Orleans Zoo some years ago, painted in Photoshop using Scott Deardorff’s smudge technique.

This image was shot years ago on Caddo Lake with my Nikon 5700 digital point-n-shoot.   My first sales were of this image.    I’ve reworked the image in PhotoShop and several Nik filters.    Think the new version has something over the old one.  

This one taken of the exit of Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville.  I used several filters to achieve the effect.  This shot topped off a great spring day shooting around the St. Francisville area.  Beautiful place to be in springtime.

This image from the Lake Charles fireworks display in 2010.  I used an image of the Civic Center lakefront and added several fireworks bursts to complete the compositie photo. 

This one also edited using Efex Pro HDR plug-in.  I like the painterly look the filter can provide.   The photo was taken in late March during prime azalea blooming season.  Other flowering plants were in full bloom throughout the gardens.

Last night’s sunset.  Beautiful colors n the sky.  The bright reds only last a few minutes….

Another from a weekend trip to St. Francisville during azalea blooming season.  This is the road exiting Rosedown Plantation.

This is the entrance to Afton Villa Gardens in St. Francisville, LA.   The image was shot in late March of this year during a weekend trip to St. Francivsille.  Perfect days for photography…mild temps, blue skies, and lots of white puffy clouds.  The cloud cover provided perfect diffused light for landscape images.  Just perfect!
