Another Crumpled Paper Photomontage

This image was taken several years somewhere in the hill country of Texas.  I added the same crumpled paper texture as in the previous post.  Several color and contrast adjustments and….voila!

Crumpled Paper as Texture

Posted in Uncategorized on July 26, 2010 by Brenda LaFleur

Another image for my online photomontage class with Carol Leigh.  This one uses a photo of crumpled paper as the background texture.  The bench was shot in front of St. Louis Cathedral some years ago.  I like how this one turned out.

I raced out to Prien Lake Park on Sunday evening when I realized the sunset was going to be something special.  Got several nice shots…this is one.    I have a beautiful pano but I hestiate to post here because the upload size just doesn’t do it justice.

Mission Archway

This was shot  at the Mission Conception on my last visit to San Antonio in March of this year.     I removed two metal benches from the walkway and used a Nik Filter to bring out the detail in the stonework.   Certainly a favorite location for photography.

I’m taking an online course from Carol Leigh working with adding textures to photos.  Carol calls this Photomontage.  Details can be found on her blog at:  http://carolleigh.blogspot.com/      This image had minimal interest until the texture added.  I like the effect.
