Watercolor Sunset

Posted in Uncategorized on May 24, 2010 by Brenda LaFleur

I had the chance to visit Watercolor, Florida, again this spring.  What a peaceful and relaxing location.  This represents another serene trip to the beach at sunset.  Obviously, some color adjustments to make the image more striking.

Tulips, tulips, tulips

I spent a happy hour or so shooting florals in the Bellagio Conservatory while in Las Vegas.   Great looking group of tulips.  A slight buzz added to this pic to remove a bit of detail.

Bryce Canyon at Sunrise

Posted in Uncategorized on May 14, 2010 by Brenda LaFleur

My trip out west included a quick stopover at Bryce Canyon.  We stayed at Bryce Canyon Lodge and a short 50 yard walk about the back door brings you to the rim of the canyon.  This was the sunrise view.

Valley of Fire

The Valley of Fire State Park is about 50 miles north of Las Vegas.  I visited midmorning.  The light was somewhat harsh but the views were outstanding.    I have several favorites and this is one.

Another one from Zion.  This National Park is heaven on earth.  Truly a beautiful part of our world.

Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway

Posted in Uncategorized on May 3, 2010 by Brenda LaFleur

I just got home from a vacation out west.  Started and ended in Las Vegas but made a trip into SW Utah in the middle.   David and I visited Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park.  This is from the east entrance into Zion along the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway.  Zion certainly ranks up there with one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen.  This highway is magnificient.  Every curve provides another amazing view.   Very little editing done to this image.  I did darken the sky and added a vignette to bring the eye to the center of the image.
