The Welder

Posted in Uncategorized on December 21, 2009 by Brenda LaFleur

A few weeks ago I shot this in a friend’s welding shop.  He’s a welder by day and a photographer by hobby.  Fun shoot with a group of photography friends.    This long exposure was shot on tripod with cable release.   The long exposure really exaggerates the light show!     Some post-editing saturation brings out more color.

Drying Lavendar

Another from my trip to Washington in August.   We visited a lavendar farm on Orcas Island.   A trip by ferry to the San Juan Islands was a highlight of the trip for me.  It’s on my agenda for a return trip some day.  A slight buzz added – the buzz simplifier- which takes out some of the detail in an image.  Also a sloppy border added using Photographic Edges software.

This is from a trip in August to Washington.  So many beautiful images to be made in the Northwest.  Salt Creek Recrational Area is just west of Port Angeles, WA.    This is just after sunset using a wide angle lens.

Buddha and Mittens

Long time since I’ve posted.   I took a break when I was making an effort to interact on Facebook.  Just didn’t do it for me.  I want to focus more on my photography and found myself distracted with all the clutter on Facebook.  So….here goes again.      This is a painting made from a composite photo using both PhotoShop and Corel Painter.
